It was just supposed to be puppy love. It was never supposed to be serious. But in the vein of 1989’s Janet Jackson’s hit “Love Would Never Do (Without You) these two love pups have proved the doubters wrong.

Sure they had to grow up and mature. But Lilah soon realized that the stuffed bunny Howie gave her was almost as good as Burton’s orange ball. And Howard never did return those texts from the bitch labradoodle next door. They soon figured out that distance really did make the heart grow fonder and that true love accepts us for who we are at heart. While they can’t go for long walks at the park or for ice-cream dates they do send notes and presents to each other. Facebook photo exchanges can get a little steamy…and if only they could work Skype they would woof the hours away staring longingly into the other’s eyes.
Lots have changed over the past two years. Howard is a big brother to a human baby sister….Lilah visits farms off leash and hangs out with some goat pals. But at the end of the day these two fall back on their mutual love and adoration of each other.
